Former UK foreign secretary and President of the European Socialist Party Robin Cook, speaking at the start of a conference by the ruling PASOK party in Athens on Thursday on ''Modern socialists and new responses'', stated he was in favor of the return to Greece of the Parthenon Marbles in exchange for a permanent exhibition of sculptures in Britain, which is a proposal of the Greek government.
