The deployment of 108 vehicles and 400 troops of Greece's 501th mechanized infantry battalion into Kosovo from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) was completed at dawn yesterday. The Greek battalion, headed for the town of Urosevac, will be placed under US command.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Albanian refugees have been gathering at a border checkpoint as of yesterday morning to return to Kosovo.
About 800 cars alone crossed the border on Tuesday, while the UN High Commission for Refugees expected even more yesterday.
