Prime Minister Costas Simitis is to attend a three-day international conference in Berlin beginning on Friday for politically centre-left leaders.
Simitis, leader of the ruling Panhellenic Socialist Movement, is scheduled to speak at the conference attended by another 13 heads of state and government.
The meeting will focus on progressive government in the 21st century.
