When the Greeks unite their forces, they attain their most ambitious goals, Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis said in a message on Thursday to the delegates of the 59th Pan-Macedonian Association Convention, which opens next week in Kavala.
"When we Greeks join our forces, when we put aside any differences we may have in the face of the big and important (issues), we attain even the most ambitious of our goals," the premier said in his message to the delegates to the Convention, which will take place from July 26 to 31.
At the same time, he stressed that today, the vision of ecumenical Hellenism, of a global Greek network with a strong voice and presence, was more feasible than ever before, and gave his assurances that the Greek state would continue to actively support every worthwhile initiative for ecumenical Hellenism.
The Convention will formally be inaugurated on Tuesday, July 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kavala Prefecture congress centre. Source: Athens News Agency
