The NATO alliance's new structure was ratified yesterday by the Atlantic Council at its permanent representatives level.
Among others, the new structure anticipates activation of the Larisa NATO sub-headquarters.
According to NATO's new administration structure, the four countries on its southern flank, Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey will each acquire a sub-headquarters to be activated simultaneously on Sept. 1.
Yesterday's ratification was a formal procedure to have the issue of NATO's institutional bodies closed before the summit due in April.
